Honda are expanding the Civic to be an SUV crossover. The word 'crossover' is very important in my eyes. I think that this word expresses sportiness and dynamism which are characteristics strongly associated and evidently seen in the Civic model. Quoted by Autoexpress 'The as-yet-unnamed car will be based on a tweaked version of the new Civic’s platform, and go on sale next year. And our illustrations show how it’s likely to look.' I think that based on this statement and the images to the left, Honda have made a big mistake, a rookie error. I have always associated the Honda Civic with innovative design, especially with
the Civic. The rear lights seem to be sporting the bug formed trend, similarly to the Nissan Qashqai. Some characteristics such as the sudden sloping roof-line and the linear, sharp looking lights, but perhaps this is a little too confusing. After all, most people can identify a Civic quite easily.
