This years Autoshow in Chicago was a hit and miss. I will talk about two cars for the right reasons; the Kia Trackster and the Masda Miata. Firstly, the Kia Trackster completely threw me. I think that the interior design styling and colour scheme is exceptional. The funky, cool and fun characteristics are expressive in every way. For example the attention to detail of the door handle. Organic trim and reflective surfaces create a refreshing atmosphere. The dashboard is enhanced with a small, somewhat tempting lip. The gearbox unleashes the techno in a professional, exciting layout with various gadgets surrounding the prize. On a single disappointing note, I would have loved to of seen more of an innovative form of the steering wheel, however it is consistent with the over all aesthetics within the interior. What a pleasure it will be to drive.
On a less of a positive note, the Mazda Miata was a failure in my eyes. To be quite prompt and not very metaphorical, it is a Mazda MX5. I thought Mazda were supposed to be an innovative brand, with exciting surface design. For me it was only a nostalgic view from every angle.
