Robert Fulton from Cumbernauld has become the fifth winner of the Landscape photographer of the year award, with the photo entitled 'winter field'. I find that when it comes to Art, culture and other expressionist imagery (in this case photography), the very best are ones that capture our most precious emotions as people - emotions that we seek, or want. Analysing this photo made me realise how fantasy and mystery often have this affect. My personal favorite quote is from Einstein, he said 'The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.' I think that this quote is very relative to the photograph here. What do you think?
